General goals of the project
- To narrow the gap between CWD and society in the educational environment and protect the rights of children with disabilities from ethnic minorities in Hoa Binh province.
- Specific objectives of the project
- Ethnic minority women and children, schools are raised awareness of the Law on People with Disabilities, the Law on Child Protection and effective legal aid for children with disabilities to be integrated into education and enjoy policies and regimes through enhanced cooperation between state agencies and organizations.

Beneficiaries of the project
* Groups of direct beneficiaries:
- 1,130 include 570 students from 8 schools, 30 teachers, 30 officers, 50 parents and 450 people (400 boys, 730 girls, 100% ethnic minorities), children with disabilities.
- 50 parents have access to legal aid services (35 women, 15 men).
* Groups of indirect beneficiaries:
- People in community of communes in Tan Lac district - Hoa Binh province.
- Local cadres in the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Education and Training Division, District Medical Center, leaders and commune officials
- Schools and medical stations in Tan Lac district - Hoa Binh province.
- The members participating in the child rights network include: foreign non-governmental organizations; associations, mass organizations, and non-profit organizations in the protection and care of disadvantaged children.

The final results of the project
- A coordination mechanism between sectors, health, education, Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs was promulgated by the District People's Committee to develop a coordinated plan in information provision, monitoring and evaluation of children with disabilities. in integration.
- 1,130 including 570 students from 8 schools, 30 teachers, 30 staff, 50 parents and 450 people (400 boys, 730 girls, 100% ethnic minorities) raise awareness of children's rights, rights People with disabilities and get legal assistance to ensure the right of children with disabilities to integrate.
- 50 children with disabilities receive legal aid to complete their application and submit them to the district level for a disability certificate (50 parents have access to legal aid services)

The main activities of the project:
- Project inception workshop.
- Review current documents as a basis for building coordination mechanisms between sectors.
- Communication on disability law, children's rights for parents and schools.
- Reviewing the number of children with disabilities, assessing the child's situation, and supporting in completing the application for disability certificates.
- Training for teachers on skills (screening for children with disabilities, life skills for children and teaching skills, designing sample lesson plans, skills in developing individual education plans for children).
- Training for parents and village health workers on child intervention skills at home and skills in developing individual education plans, skills to screen children with disabilities.
- Integrating teaching plans for children with disabilities into the school's general teaching plan.
- Organize extracurricular sessions to create environments and skills for children to integrate.
- Organize workshops to share experiences with schools in the district.
- Design a set of manuals for parents on screening skills and help children integrate, some guidance to access health services. A set of skills on children with disabilities screening skills, skills for teaching CWD in education inclusion.
- Quarterly monitoring and evaluation activities and ending of the project
